Let’s turn your ideas into reality — costum illustrations that communicate your vision at a glance

IMG_6986.jpg

Have you ever spent hours trying to sketch out an idea but no matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t put into pictures what your project was all about?

I'll fix that. With beautiful, unique watercolour illustrations that communicate your ideas not just how you had in mind - but better.

My custom illustrations are tailored to meet a wide range of creative needs, from capturing the essence of your love story in wedding illustrations to enhancing your brand’s presence through captivating marketing visuals.

Why invest in custom illustrations when you can just use stock graphics?

If you have wondered about this, you are not alone. Stock images are, oh soo tempting.

But they are lacking features that only custom illustrations have:

  1. They tell your story exactly how you want to. With stock images you might find something that fits your vision in some ways, but it will never be your story and just how you had in mind.

  2. Consistency of style. This is especially important when you are looking for multiple graphics, let’s say for a book or to use for social media content, marketing material and your website. The only way to get consistent graphics that your audience will immediately recognize and make them think of you and your services, is to commission your own illustrations.

  3. Unique - custom illustrations are 100% unique, original and able to build instant emotional connection, which will make your project stand out and a real attention grabber. With custom illustrations you are sure to dish up something for your audience that they haven’t seen before. And who doesn’t want that in a world full of content and short attention spans like ours?

I could go on and on why custom illustrations are the way to go but I’d rather not get started on problems with resolution, file types and all the legal issues you could run into with stock graphics if you’re not reading the terms of use carefully. That would be too nerdy. Why not instead-

What Will Happen Next - The Process Of Custom Illustrations

 1.

Start with a story

Lay out your idea in the contact form together with the timeline for your project and your budget. In a consultation call, we will then determine the subject, colour palette and overall style of what we will be creating. Which I will then turn into a sketch that I will be using as a reference while painting.

2.

Painting

While I am working brush to paper with watercolour on your custom illustrations, I will send you multiple updates on the progress which gives you the possibility to request changes and allows you to make sure the illustrations are exactly what you were looking for.

3.

Scan & Refine

Once you approve the paper version of your illustrations, I will make a high quality scan of them and refine them digitally. Changes that can digitally be made include colour correction, arrangement of illustrations and removing parts.

4.

Sign, Seal & Send

You sign-off on the finished work and I set out to do the final packaging of the files and deliver them to you via Drive or Wetransfer.

This collaborative process ensures that the illustrations are not just unique but also deeply resonate with your vision, making them instantly recognizable and memorable to your audience.

 FAQ Custom Illustrations

Who is it for? - Everyone, whether you are a private person, a small or large business or brand. I like to change up and diversify the projects I am working on and love a good challenge outside my comfort zone. So no matter who you are - if you have a project in mind, drop me a message here.

What will it cost? - It really depends on the size of the project. I charge by the hour that I am working on your illustrations and depending on the use of the illustrations, I might charge a licensing fee. The exact terms will be negotiated before I start working on your artwork.

When do you have to pay? - I require a deposit, the amount of it again depends on the size of the project, before I start working on your illustrations. The final payment is required before I hand over  the final files.
